Best Labor Day coffee maker deals – save on Nespresso, Delonghi, and more
For savings nearly as delicious as espressos

If you have your eye on a luxury coffee maker, you'll want to search around for a discount. Luckily, Labor Day weekend is right around the corner, promising some of the best coffee maker deals of the year.
As a former barista and H&G's coffee expert, I spend a lot of time drinking, thinking about, and reviewing coffee. I've tested over seventy of the best coffee makers in the last year and there are plenty that I made a note beside saying, 'I'd buy this if it was in a sale.'
With that in mind, I keep a close eye on the prices of my favorite drip coffee makers, French presses, moka pots, Nespresso machines and Keurig classics. If you want to know what's hot (apart from your cup of coffee), this is the place to look.
Where to shop coffee maker deals
If you've got some time and you want to scroll through coffee maker retailers for yourself, these are the places to start. It's where our experts look first when they're shopping for themselves.
- Amazon: shop a range of big-name brands with regular reductions
- Best Buy: shop Breville, De'Longhi, OXO and Nespresso
- QVC: a great place to shop French presses, pour-overs, bean-to-cup machines, and more
- Target: shop top coffee brands for less in their sales
- Walmart: if you're going to find a discount on Keurig, Ninja, or Cuisinart, it'll be here
- Wayfair: shop Keurig, Bunn, and Mr Coffee
Best drip coffee maker deals
Filter coffee is the nation's favorite brewing style, so it's important that the best drip coffee makers are the creme de la creme. We've tested all of these and think they're up to the standards of the best baristas' palettes.
Café Speciality Drip Coffee Maker | Was $299, now $229 at Amazon
Sleek and smart, the Café comes with Wi-Fi enabled, voice command technology, meaning you don't even have to lift a finger to make a cup of coffee. The only real downside is the price, even with this big saving.
Smeg Drip Coffee Maker | Was $290.95, now $229 at Amazon
Our experts have a soft spot for Smeg's filter coffee maker. It's basic, but delivers consistent quality coffee and looks so cute. Just double-check the height of your wall cupboards before you snag this deal – this machine is pretty tall.
Zwilling Enfinigy Drip Coffee Maker | Was $199.95, now $149.99 at Zwilling
We recently re-tested the Zwilling and were just as impressed with it as the first time we used it. You can bloom your coffee and make a delicious brew.
Bean-to-cup coffee maker deals
The beauty of bean-to-cup machines, also known as automatic coffee makers, is that they make everything simple. All you need to do is add milk, water, and beans, and you'll have perfect coffee every time. However, the market average for these sits at around $1000, so it's always worth looking for a discount.
De'Longhi Magnifica Evo | Was $899.95, now $691 at Amazon
I'm currently testing a new model in this Delonghi Magnifica line – and it has totally changed my life. I'm a huge fan of this automatic milk-frothing 'LatteCrema' technology. Delonghi is rarely discounted, so this $200 deal is too good to miss.
Smeg Fully Automatic Coffee Maker | Was $849, now $599.95 at Amazon
Smeg's space-age automatic coffee maker is sleekly designed and simple to use. It's not the greatest coffee maker in the world, but I would buy it at a discount.
Philips 3200 Series | Was $999, now $699.99 at Amazon
A tried-and-tested favorite amongst our experts, the 3200 Series can make a menu of six different coffees. It's less than some more technical options, but more than enough for the average coffee drinker. This is rarely discounted these days, so this 30% saving is really worth snapping up.
Single-serve coffee maker deals
If you can save on single-serve coffee makers, you're winning on all fronts. The capsule coffee machines below make speedy coffee and they're tested (and approved) by experts.

Nespresso Vertuo Next | Was $209, now $137 at Amazon
This is the best single-serve coffee maker on the market. It's sleek, easy to use, and quick to brew delicious coffee. It's only compatible with Vertuo pods though.
Nespresso Vertuo Pop | Was $149, now $105 at Amazon
Vertuo Pop is perfect for small spaces and even smaller budgets. The cute colors aren't in the Labor Day sales yet, but you won't find a better single-serve coffee maker for the price.
De'Longhi Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima | Was $499, now $399 at Grind
My personal favorite from Nespresso is 30% off right now. If you love lattes, cappuccinos and creamy coffees – this one's for you. Most importantly, it's compatible with the limited-edition seasonal pods, like Pumpkin Spice Cake.
Keurig K-Mini Single Serve Coffee Maker | Was $99.95, now $59 at Amazon
We didn't love this mini coffee machine when we tested it. However, if you want a colorful, cheap machine for a dorm room or office space, this will do the job. The 40% discount is a real sweetener.
Espresso machine deals
If you can snag an espresso machine deal, you'll be the envy of all your coffee-enthusiast friends. These technical coffee makers are some of the most coveted around.
De'Longhi La Specialista Maestro | Was $1,600, now $1,199.95 at Wayfair
This is the first machine I look for in the sales. I love everything about it. It's beautiful, it's technical, and it makes delicious coffee. There's also plenty of controls, so that even a beginner could become a barista on this machine. The only thing I don't love is the RRP, that's why it's a machine to only shop in the sales. It's 25% off at Wayfair right now.
Casabrews 5700 Pro | Was $599, now $479.99 at Amazon
Casabrews took TikTok by a storm, claiming to be as good as machines twice the price. Whilst I think this is a stretch (it's not very consistent and lacks some more sophisticated technology), it's still seriously good value as far as espresso machines go.
KitchenAid Artisan Espresso Machine | Was $349, now $229 at KitchenAid
In spite of its simplicity, this is still one of my favorite espresso machines. It's slim, stylish, and easy to use. However, you'll have to invest in the matching coffee grinder separately, but luckily it's also discounted for Labor Day on Amazon.
Pour-over deals
Pure pour-over coffee is delicate and delicious. Most of these coffee makers are relatively inexpensive, so when there's a sale on, it would be rude not to cover them.
Bodum Coffee Maker With Permanent Filter | Was $27.99, now $15.99 at Bodum
Honestly, I wouldn't buy another pour-over. This is packed with well-considered design features, including a stopper, which makes this easy to pour from and mess-free. The filter is reusable and the sleeve is comfortable to hold. At just over $15, the price is hard to believe.
Fellow Stagg Pour Over | Was $70, now $59.50 at Fellow
In true Fellow style, this is a close-to-perfect pour-over. It's sleek, stylish, and an excellent pour-over. It's more expensive than other models, so buying it for a saving just makes sense.
Fellow Stagg EKG Electric Kettle | Was $165, now $132
You won't make good pour-over coffee without a gooseneck kettle and this one is the best model on the market. It is incredibly high quality, available in multiple chic shades, and looks stunning, too.
You can read more in our 2024 guide to the best electric kettles.
Best French press coffee maker deals
French presses might not be at the front of your mind when looking for coffee maker deals, but they should be. The best French presses I've tested sit comfortably in triple-figure prices. If you can snag one for under $100, don't hesitate to take the plunge (sorry).
Bodum 34 oz Brazil French Press Coffee Maker | Was $27.50, now $19.99
Bodum has been making their bistro-style, domed French press for nearly 75 years. With such timeless design, it's no wonder they grace our list of best French press coffee makers. This model is affordable but classy, made from stainless steel and BPA-free plastic materials.
Fellow Clara French Press | Was $99, now $79 at Amazon
The only criticism I have of the Clara is its price tag, so in a sale, I'm jumping for joy. It's an excellent insulator and innovatively designed. In summary, buy it and do it now.
Frieling French Press | Was $99.95, now $70.99 at Amazon
Double-walled, well-built, simple, and small. The Frieling French Press is expensive and less innovative than other models. However, it delivers on luxury and quality materials.
Best moka pot deals
The best moka pots can take you close to espresso machine coffee flavors, for a fraction of the price. Bialetti tends to dominate the market here, so if you can pick up one of their iconic models, you can sip back and relax. Even at full price, these aren't expensive.
Bialetti Classic | Was $30, now $26.99 at Target
Bialetti moka pots are iconic. They're the best you can buy. This six cup model is perfect if you've got company or a family of coffee drinkers. The 26% discount is pretty sweet too.
Alessi 9090 | Was $400, now $311
We love everything about this luxurious Italian moka pot, except for the designer price tag. It's a little more affordable in the Labor Day sales and reliable for a delicious cup of coffee – as well as an impressive kitchen statement.
Best cold brew coffee maker deals
If you've been making your cold brew coffee in a plastic bottle or a simple French press, now is the time to complete your cold brew set-up. These cold brew systems are inexpensive, especially in the sales, and they'll change the way you enjoy your cold brew. There's no need to struggle with make-do brewers anymore.
KitchenAid Cold Brew | Was $109.99, now $89.99 at KitchenAid
This is big, but extremely versatile. You can use it to make iced tea, infused water, and much more. It feels premium and looks it, but you'll get a nice $20 bargain on Labor Day.
How we test coffee makers
At Homes & Gardens, we take our coffee maker tests seriously. Before we feature them or recommend you buy them, each machine will have been tested by our experts and compared to models from top brands like Breville, Nespresso, and Technivorm.
Where possible, we test how a coffee machine fares on making espresso, Americano, and cappuccino. This lets us see the range that a coffee maker has, across milky coffee as well as more intense and flavorful shots. However, if a coffee maker claims to be able to make a vast menu of different coffees, we'll test them all and let you know about them in our 'special features' section. We make sure to use the same coffee beans in each test, so that we can compare how well the flavors and aromas of the coffee has been extracted. If a machine can froth milk, we will test non-dairy milks too, as these can be temperamental.
We'll make notes on everything from aesthetics to cleaning and maintenance, so that you can get a holistic idea of what these machines are like to live with before you invest in them. If you'd like to find out more, you can visit our dedicated page to learn how we test coffee makers.
